Job Description

This is a PRN position. Varies (1) shift every 3 months and back up when the Director of Home Care has schedule time off 2 working days.

Responsible for providing oversight of the Friends Circle Program including the Residential Services Agency, Nursing Referral Agency and other related functions. Responsible to serve as the supervising RN for the Residential Services Agency and perform all functions associated with that role..

Essential Duties:

  • Performs the nursing functions as required by the regulations for a Residential Services Agency.

  • Provides clinical supervision to the licensed and unlicensed staff ensuring compliance with all regulations for both the Residential Services Agency and the Nursing Agency Referral organization.

  • Provides supervision for "other business" activities related to Friends Circle including transportation, pet services, etc.

  • Provides leadership role in maintaining quality assurance requirements

  • Participate in team meetings by providing input and making suggestions.

  • Assesses continuing education opportunities appropriate to discipline and responsibilities in order to maintain clinical currency.

  • Adheres to facility policies and procedures and participates in facility quality improvement and safety programs.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  • Valid license as registered nurse in Maryland

  • Delegating Nurse Certification.

  • Evidence of strong communication and relationship building skills

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to self-manage work flow

  • Able to effectively maintain documentation of activity

  • Valid MD Driver’s License in good status.

  • Reports to work each day on time and as scheduled;

  • Participates in appropriate in-service education, meeting State in-service requirements;

  • Actively participates in required meetings, arriving on time unless prior arrangements have been made;

  • Flex stuff (PRN) must provide availability calendar monthly per policy

    • Drive either personal vehicle or Broadmead vehicle to the client home.

    • May need to see more than one client per day and drive to various locations.
