This is a Full-Time (Exempt) position (40 hours a week) : Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Under the supervision of the Health Services Administrator, the registered nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients. The registered nurse participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing support and information about nursing services. The registered nurse manager oversees the clinical medical assistant and the reception area.
Provide required support to the clinicians practicing in the Outpatient Clinic;
Coordinate the patient flow in the Outpatient Clinic;
Oversee laboratory, INR, B12, Prolia, seasonal vaccination process;
Manage clinical medical assistant and reception area in OPD;
Room patients and prepare them appropriately for their visit;
Gather vitals and other necessary information;
Respond in a timely manner to emergency calls from the IL community;
Document accurately and timely in the PEER system;
Manage lab service, radiology service, and other ancillary services supporting the patients’ care;
Give and receive daily report to appropriate Broadmead and Friends Circle interdisciplinary team members;
Support ancillary services i.e., consultants, specialists, home health, private duty, etc.;
Support the medication refill process;
Support Friends Circle medication administration process;
Maintain clean, safe and orderly clinic environment by keeping the area clean and disposing of soiled, contaminated items;
Report malfunctioning, broken, or hazardous equipment or conditions to Supervisor, and facilitate the repair/replacement;
Observe policies and procedures as demonstrated through performance of procedure and tasks;
Complete required documentation in an accurate and timely manner in the Epic EMR system;
Support publically and privately, the interdisciplinary team approach to Broadmead’s continuum of care, exhibiting consistent respect, communication, cooperation, and teamwork with interdisciplinary colleagues of Broadmead and Friends Circle;
Act in compliance with Broadmead’s regulatory and professional standards and guidelines;
Assess continuing education opportunities appropriate to discipline and responsibilities in order to maintain clinical competency;
Adhere to Broadmead’s policies and procedures and participate in the quality improvement and safety programs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Graduate of an accredited two-year school of Nursing
Valid license as registered nurse in Maryland
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population served by this facility
Excellent communication, collaboration, cooperation, and interpersonal skills
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to walk or jog at a quick pace in response to medical emergencies
Must be able to walk in all weather conditions to respond to medical emergencies
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
