Job Description

Brightspeed has an exciting opportunity for an Manager, IT Network Engineering Systems to join our rapidly growing team! In this role, you will oversee evaluation, design, documentation, installation, implementation, testing, and performance for IT Network Planning and Construction systems. You will work closely with business and network experts to ensure alignment of new systems with network designs and go-to-market strategies. You will ensure IT network system solutions integrate strategically into downstream workflows for IT provisioning and inventory systems.

As Manager, IT Network Engineering Systems, your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implementing IT strategies that support Brightspeed's goals
  • Team Leadership: Managing and mentoring the IT team to foster a collaborative and productive environment
  • Project Management: Oversee IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
  • System Maintenance: Ensure the reliability and security of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors to procure and maintain IT services and products
  • Budget Oversight: Managing the IT department's budget, optimizing costs while maintaining quality
  • Compliance and Security: Ensuring all IT operations comply with relevant laws and regulations, and implementing robust security measures to protect data

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Network Technology/ Engineering 
  • 8+ years of experience driving software development and architecting IT solutions
  • 2+ years of experience with address validation and service qualification concepts
  • Firm grasp of networking concepts including Fiber and PON networks
  • Ability to understand and explain complex technical information
  • Collaborative, team builder with strong communication skills, ability to negotiate, often at higher levels
  • Experience managing a team of employees and consultants to drive solution delivery
  • Project management skills
  • Experience with IQGeo software used for network planning
  • Detailed knowledge of DTAP network architecture
  • PMP certification
  • AGILE development experience
