Job Description

Brightspeed has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing & Consumer Business Operations Lead to join our rapidly growing team! Reporting directly to our President, Consumer and Small Business, you will be responsible for relaying information between executive team members and other senior leaders. You will attend meetings, provide an overall picture of productivity to executives and stakeholders, and then relay information to across different business units. You will provide data analysis and metrics of the productivity of the team, and suggest strategic initiatives to improve workflow, teamwork, and budget management. In your role, you will be working on the everyday action items to support the President Consumer and Small Business such as working with department leaders on project coordination and business administration. 

As a Marketing & Consumer Business Operations Lead, your duties and responsibilities will include: 

  • Assist the leadership team with various administrative tasks, such as budget planning, providing necessary preparation documents, participating in monthly/quarterly reviews, and developing new marketing strategies 
  • Oversee daily operations in collaboration with senior managers and department leaders, and perform administrative tasks such as managing calendars, generating correspondence, maintaining hard copies and electronic files, planning and coordinating annual corporate meetings, and scheduling facilities 
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert, handling inquiries, developing action plans, and assisting with preparation and dissemination of communications 
  • Develop and build on relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and responsiveness of existing operations, and help define new operational strategies by working with the executives on special projects 
  • Drive implementation of cross-departmental marketing and communications initiatives in collaboration with other business units 
  • Assist other team members with interpreting and executing the department’s vision and intent regarding upcoming and ongoing marketing initiatives 
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalating team issues  
  • Use the internal project management and marketing automation systems—delegate tasks, create schedules for marketing teams, generate reports, etc. 
  • Lead meetings and discussions with the marketing team in a way that promotes collaboration  
  • Provide relevant analyses, recommendations, and reports to the President, Consumer and Small Business 

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or similar field 
  • 8+ years of experience in a senior-level marketing, PR, or communications role 
  • Strong organizational and leadership experience 
  • Seasoned experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives 
  • Versatile abilities and extreme dedication to efficient productivity 
  • Oversee strategic business initiatives, from development through successful execution  
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools 
  • Excellent knowledge in budgeting and project management processes 
  • Highly adaptable with great problem-solving and organizational skills  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • PMP certification
