Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst, External Reporting to join our growing Finance team! In this role, you will report directly to the External Reporting Manager. You will be an integral part of a best-in-class financial reporting function for a growing telecommunications company. You will support the company's development and implementation of a financial reporting function including analyzing operational results, drafting financial statements and footnotes to final issuance. In addition, you will partner with other finance groups, external auditors and consultants. You will need to have excellent technical accounting skills and communications skills, both written and verbal, and will need to be proactive and detail oriented.

As a Senior Analyst, External Reporting, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Support reporting obligations and ensure timely submission of all required reporting for equity investors, lenders and management
  • Prepare and review various financial statement components and management reporting documents
  • Maintain proper policies and procedures, documentation, and test approach for all reporting areas to provide assurance that the Company is operating a best-in-class accounting and reporting controls environment
  • Identify and communicate issues and improvement opportunities
  • Stay current on new and evolving GAAP requirements, research accounting guidance, effectively partner with accounting to implement changes and ensure compliance
  • Provide support and requirements to technology teams and external consultants to implement and refine Workiva
  • Partner with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and report to various stakeholders on the status of internal/external audits

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • 5+ years relevant experience in Accounting and Reporting
  • Strong communication, planning and project management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to investigate, analyze, and interpret accounting guidance
  • Experience working hands-on with other cross-functional teams
  • Adaptable to changing business environment and organizational structure
