Job Description

Brightspeed is looking for an Industrial Security Technician II to join our team!  As an Industrial Security Technician II you will be responsible for installation, inspection, and service of Life Safety, Security, Card Access and Video Surveillance products and services. You will educate the customer on proper operation of equipment and make recommendations to customer for any upgrade or additional life safety needs.

As an Industrial Security Technician II your responsibilities will include:

  • Installation, Service, and Inspections of Life Safety Systems
  • Installation and service of Security Systems
  • Installation and service of Card Access Systems
  • Installation and service of Video Surveillance Systems
  • Educating customers on proper operations of systems
  • Maintain vehicle and company supplies and inventory
  • Recommend and perform any needed upgrades to customers’ systems
  • Complete paperwork and invoicing of customer via Tech application
  • Meet monthly up sales quota by recommending services to customer
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Must be qualified to be licensed in all states Brightspeed does business in
  • Minimum two years’ experience in installation, inspection, and service of Life Safety Systems
  • Previously or currently hold a Louisiana Level 1 license and class D fire license.
  • Successful completion of on-the-job training, online courses, and testing
  • Excellent and effective communications (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage situations without constant supervision
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to be on work weekends, extended hours, and holidays as required to meet the needs of the business
  • Experience or training in the operations of all office equipment
  • Strong multi-tasking skills

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • NICET certification
  • Experience as lead tech on large commercial projects
  • CAD experience
