Job Description

Job Ad – Director, Customer Financial Services

We have an exciting opportunity for a Director, Customer Financial Services. The Director, Customer Financial Services develops and administers credit and collection programs.  This dynamic position manages billing adminstrations to include billing, credit and collections. This role proivdes oversight to the credit department and makes decisions concerning credit limits, acceptable levels of risk, terms of payment and enforcement actions with customers.  The Director, Customer Financial Services generates revenue by making payment arrangements, collects on accounts, and monitors and pursues delinquent accounts. As Director, Customer Financial Services you will have the following responsibilities: 

  • Oversees the investigation of credit risk in customers and suppliers; advice on the course of action for credit applications 

  • Manage Billing administration (billing, credit, and collections) 

  • Manages and creates invoicing for financing agreements and collection 

  • Designs and implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables 

  • Monitors and negotiates on the collection of overdue accounts. 

  • Monitors legislative changes in tax laws that may impact the company’s tax positions, including tax accounting implications 

  • Manages the bad debt reserve account and identifies accounts to be written off to the bad debt reserve 

  • Leads and manages credit and collections team assisting with career development and growth  

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Accounting, or related field) 

  • 10 + years of Credit and Collections experience 

  • 4+ years of Management Experience 

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data 

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services 

  • Ability to plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others 

  • Proficient with content workflow software (i.e., Equifax Application Engine and Experian Transact SM) 

  • Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (i.e., SAP and Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise
