Job Description

We have a great opportunity for a Director, Tax to join our growing finance team! The Director, Tax oversees tax planning, filing, and compliance.  Develops and refines best practices in terms of the provision for income taxes, income tax compliance, tax structure, property taxes, transactional taxes, transfer pricing, as well as other business tax compliance.  Leads vendor management, process improvement, and strategic execution as an integral member of the Finance team and trusted business partner to the organization.  Leads and develops people using a hands-on approach. This is a unique chance to join a rapidly growing telecom organization on the ground floor and build your team from scratch!

As Director, Payables you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Establishes and maintains formal tax policies, practices, and procedures to ensure US GAAP and SOX compliance
  • Oversees accounting for income taxes for all entities including acting as the primary point of contact with external auditors’ tax team
  • Provides disclosures relating to income taxes in all publicly filed documents, as well as internal management reporting
  • Monitors company’s transfer pricing policies and related documentation
  • Monitors legislative changes in tax laws that may impact the company’s tax positions, including tax accounting implications
  • Manages audits of federal and state income tax, as well as state and local filings
  • Manages outside tax consultants and advisors
  • Manages indirect tax compliance with external providers



  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 10 + years Tax experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a Director or Manager
  • Tax research skills
  • Technical and analytical skills
  • Ability to prepare financial and accounting records
  • Ability to research tax technical issues
  • Detail-oriented with financial and accounting skills


  • Master’s Degree
