Job Description

Do you like tackling tough technical, UX and data challenges? Does working cross-functionally with world-class engineering, business, and design teams sound exciting? Do you drive feature development and seek to understand customer needs and challenges? Are you ready to research innovative solutions, write user stories/tickets, prioritize backlogs, and set the quality bar for production releases, and launching products to market?

How Your Skills Will Be Highlighted At Brightback:

  • Help shape the future of Brightback by evolving our core product, including the end-user experience, workflow integrations, and data insights
  • Understand our users behavior and expectations through customer engagement, online testing, and diving deep into quantitative data
  • Work cross-functionally to understand all factors that drive or impede our success
  • Own key elements of the end-user experience, at both the out-of-the-box UI and platform levels -- including the overall layout, component configuration, and APIs to customize, extend and embed the interface
  • Defining, owning, and optimizing KPIs for Brightback product success spanning activation, efficacy, value, and retention  
  • Planning roadmaps that exceed the expectations of our largest strategic customers while continuing to support our smallest SMB customers
  • Synthesizing customer and partner requests, internal/system priorities, and industry  developments to define a tactical roadmap and backlog for a holistic Brightback experience
  • Interacting in product and design workflows using tools like InVision, Balsamiq, Sketch, Trello 
  • Developing and evolving ticketing workflows using JIRA, Tracker, or comparable systems 
  • Analyzing product performance via Mixpanel, Heap, Amplitude, or in-house analytics

Qualifications

  • Ability to provide a phenomenal user experience with equal comfort leaning on your intuition and your ability to learn from data  
  • You understand how to balance and prioritize to deliver customer and business value iteratively and efficiently
  • Full life-cycle management experience from concept through launch
  • Proven ability to lead through influence and win the confidence of the organization 
  • Natural curiosity and customer empathy that enables you to extract pain points, map out killer use cases and deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Strong discipline and organization skills that allow you to balance multiple projects and inputs while ensuring acute attention to detail 
  • Excellent written and communication skills that translate into your ability to collaborate on complex topics online and via asynchronous forms of interaction    
  • 5+ years of product management experience with increasing responsibility at forward-thinking companies
  • Enthusiasm to join a remote-first team that hires wonderful individuals living wherever they’re happiest
