The Opportunity:
Our client is a large, thriving packaging company with strong long-term customer relationships and great market positioning. They are looking for a regional Account Manager for the Mid-Atlantic and northeast to maintain and nurture existing relationships with their existing customers and grow sales for the company. The ideal candidate will be looking for a company to call home – the average employee stays with the company for 12-15 years.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
· Visit accounts and maintain relationships with existing customers
· Call on appropriate call points to manage entire sales process
· Consult with customers on the technical aspects of the company’s products
· Determine customers’ new packaging needs and offer solutions the company provides
Travel: Approximately 50 nights of overnight travel per year (20-30%)
When not traveling, this role will be based in a team office in the greater Philadelphia area.
Qualifications
Key Skill Sets:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· 10+ years of experience in sales and account management
· Current high-performing account manager in a similarly industry, with a highly technical product
· Background in food & beverage or packaging (preferred) or a highly technical product
· Exposure to small and large national accounts (with numerous touch points)
· Professional, analytical, self-starting, organized, and patient
· Excellent Communication
· Good stability
· Familiarity and strength in the Microsoft Office Products
