The Account Manager is responsible for managing the execution of work, client satisfaction, profitability, retention, and growth of assigned clients.

Job Description

Client Relationships

  • Build and maintain client partnerships. Build client confidence in the agency, manage client expectations, advocate for the client’s needs and work to ensure client’s satisfaction with the agency’s strategic and creative work.
  • Develop clear, measurable goals and objectives for client programs and projects, and keep client apprised of status, measurables, budget and results.
  • Develop and write account and project briefs, marketing communications objectives and other strategic planning documents as necessary and appropriate to each client.
  • Review all client work to ensure it aligns with client’s brand and strategy and drives toward achievement of goals.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from onboarding to delivery and reporting. Function as key point of contact with client for day-to-day communication, asset delivery, contract scope, client satisfaction, additional opportunities, and ideas.

Account Growth

  • Grow agency business within assigned accounts by continually seeking opportunity to create value for our clients and sharing fresh ideas to drive clients’ business forward with Brandpoint services.
  • Work collaboratively with account team to scope and prepare proposals for additional opportunities, present to client.
  • Set and define objectives for client portfolio over a 12‐month horizon and manage accounts to help achieve those objectives. Assist in development and presentation of client multi-channel strategic recommendations and tactical plans.
  • Lead and/or assist in the preparation and presentation of new business “pitches” as requested by manager.

Account Management

  • Ensure that all client work is being executed according to plan, kept on pace and on budget.
  • Communicate with all account team members written and verbal information and direction as needed to meet or exceed client’s quality, budget, and delivery expectations, with minimal rework.
  • Maintain documentation of all client communications, directions, recommendations, meetings, etc., which result in client decisions or approvals, including authorizations to proceed with chargeable services.
  • Keep all account team members informed of client feedback, approvals, or revisions to agency’s work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • 10+ years’ experience in digital marketing/marketing communications/advertising in agency or client organization (agency preferred), sales experience a plus
  • Excellent writing, verbal, presentation, and consensus-building skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, creative environment.
  • Ability to offer proactive solutions and ensure successful progression with minimal guidance
  • Ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with clients, vendors, and staff members
  • Experience with web analytics (Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Experience with digital marketing, social media, content marketing, SEO and PPC
