Job Description

This Position reports to the Vice President of Sales and will lead an existing team of experienced sales people. The core focus of this position will be to work with the sales team to drive profitable sales growth through deeper account penetration and winning new business for our Media product group. The Media Team Sales Director will be responsible for maximizing our sales team’s potential, as well as setting and achieving sales plans.

Job Responsibilities and Performance Expectations:

 

  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of company goals and profitability.
  • Own recruiting, objectives-setting, coaching and performance-monitoring of sales representatives.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Managers and Director of Marketing to improve our product offering and how we bring those products to the marketplace.
  • Accurately identify, monitor, and forecast sales and marketing trends for key business segments.
  • Conduct one-on-one reviews with the sales team to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of the team sales and activity performance.
  • Provide coaching to ensures that all sales representatives meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, demos, proposals and closes.
  • Network nationally, regionally, and locally to stay abreast of emerging trends, rates, and product solutions.
  • Manage the Media inside sales team. 
  • Set and track sales targets for the team.
  • Hire sales representatives as needed based on Brandpoint’s Core Values.
  • Provide timely updates to senior management regarding sales performance

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years sales management experience.
  • Exceptional sales, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong performance management and coaching skills along with a proven track record of attracting, developing, and managing talent to create a high-performance team.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Strong business sense and Public Relations industry experience.
  • Prefer experience working with or in a Marketing or PR agency environment.
