We are looking for a Technician to join our Electrolysis and Platforms team helping to develop PCB based water electrolysers and new electrochemical devices. The Technician role will be required to assist with cell/stack builds, material and electrochemical testing, along with test rig set up and maintenance. For new technologies, the role will involve supporting the science and engineering teams to develop tests as well as conducting quality assessment processes. The successful applicant will also be expected to support other areas of the business as required by business needs. This is a hands-on role, based on-site in our facility in Crawley working in a production / wet chemical laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have very good attention to detail, an ability to work in a safe manner with handle chemicals/compressed gasses and perform new tasks to a high standard. All required training will be supplied.

Job Description

Principal Accountabilities

  • To assemble materials for testing of Bramble Energies electrolysers
  • To undertake testing and development of Platform products
  • Work to ensure on time delivery for production and project deliveries
  • Undertake and assist in improvement of QA/QC processes
  • Ensure documentation and records are maintained

Person Specification

  • Practical laboratory or production experience desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Work with a safety-focused mindset ensuring compliance with COSHH and similar processes
  • Comfortable conducting precise operations with chemicals, gases and delicate materials

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a technical production or laboratory environment
  • Experience handling chemicals, industrial gases or similar would be ideal
  • Practical hands-on experience with mechanical, chemical and/or electrical experimental development
  • Detailed record keeping with excellent attention to detail
  • Self-starter able to work autonomously and communicate well
  • Knowledge of electrochemical principles or devices such as fuel cells, electrolysers, and batteries would be an asset
