Job Description
The Mission: Engineering the Digital Patient Model
The Digital Patient Model is one of the core elements of the Snke platform—a "digital twin" that transforms complex clinical data into an anatomical reference model. Our services provide the critical foundation for the planning, execution, and optimization of medical procedures across a wide range of global healthtech applications.
The Role
We are looking for a C++ Software Engineer—from talented graduates to established developers—to join our Snke Anatomy Applications team in Munich. This is not an algorithm or research role; it is a systems engineering and API challenge. You will build the backbone application that serves the Digital Patient Model, ensuring that sophisticated data processing is seamlessly usable for medical professionals around the world. You will join a team with senior experts who value technical excellence and professional growth. Your code directly enables safer, more precise patient treatment.
Your Impact:
- Build the Backbone: Develop and maintain modular C++ services that integrate and expose our state-of-the-art anatomical models and data processing pipelines.
- Service Implementation: Implement and optimize the backend logic that powers our gRPC and Protocol Buffers interfaces, ensuring reliable data delivery to clinical applications.
- Asynchronous Orchestration: Leverage C++20 Coroutines to solve concurrency and low-latency data flow challenges, ensuring anatomical information is available exactly when needed.
- System Integrity: Work on the interface between classic data processing and machine learning outputs, ensuring the service remains modular and testable.
- Software Excellence: Own the full lifecycle—from technical concept to high-coverage testing —while automating workflows for a stable and repeatable release process.
- Integration Support: Act as a technical consultant for internal teams and external partners, supporting them in the seamless integration of the Digital Patient Model services into their own applications.
Qualifications
What You Bring:
- Solid Engineering Foundations: A degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a good knowledge in Modern C++ (20) and asynchronous programming.
- Systems Perspective: A background in (or a strong preference for) distributed backend architectures and API-driven applications where reliability and efficiency are key.
- Software Craftmanship: A commitment to building robust, deterministic systems where code is clean, intentional, and maintainable.
- Tooling & Automation: Familiarity with Git and experience using Python or PowerShell for automation.
- Agile Mindset: A proactive, collaborative approach to development within a fast-paced environment, valuing iterative improvement and team-wide knowledge sharing.
