Job Description

Efficient and seamlessly integrated processes are crucial for the global Brainlab organization. Our Windchill team supports the various departments in optimizing their processes. As a Business Application Engineer Windchill, you play a vital role in continuous process improvement by analyzing stakeholder requirements, developing sustainable solutions and implementing them into our Windchill system. 

In this role you are responsible for several aspects of business applications: 

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify technical possibilities and gather user requirements for the development and implementation of system customizations such as 
    • workflows 
    • system interfaces 
  • Perform user support as required, including troubleshooting and general support 
  • Conduct system administrator tasks as required, including 
    • system monitoring (queues, log files, tasks, general system status) 
    • system upgrade installation and validation 
    • troubleshooting anomalous performance, bugs and use error 
    • analysis of system performance and optimization 
  • Develop and maintain system documentation 

Qualifications

  • Education in Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent experience 
  • Relevant industry and process experience with Windchill PLM 
  • Ideally experience with other PTC products (MPMLink, Creo and ThingWorx) 
  • Ideally programming experience in Java 
  • Proficiency in German and English 
  • Team player with good communication skills 
  • Creativity, logical and structured thinking and a passion for technical solutions
