Job Description
For our R&D Mixed Reality & Visualization team at Brainlab we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer. You will be part of a fast-paced and motivated team that develops software solutions for medical image viewing on desktop computers, surgical navigation systems and mixed reality glasses. The position will give you the chance to contribute with your creative solutions to real products with disruptive technologies. Your expertise has an immediate impact on the daily work in hospitals around the world.
Your main tasks will be to:
- Drive innovation on 3D visualization across the company, by improving rendering algorithms and adjusting material properties for rendering
- Contribute to the application development of the successful DICOM Viewer (Modern C++ application with HTML5 frontend)
- Bring your software engineering expertise to the medical world
- Be creative!
Qualifications
- Background in Computer Science, Computer Visualization or similar
- Strong interest and good skills in software engineering and object-oriented programming in C++
- Passion for 3D rendering
- Experience with shading languages, volume rendering, or physically based lighting is a plus
- Eagerness to be part of a high-skilled team where your talent is both challenged and supported
- Enjoying software projects and taking responsibility while keeping an eye on defined goals and guiding colleagues
- You feel comfortable in an agile software development environment or are interested in developing the skills required
- Good communication skills round up your profile and you are motivated by collaborating with team members and international partners
