Job Description

Brainlab is seeking a customer-oriented Project Manager to support the installation of Operating Room Integration Systems and Ceiling-mounted Surgical Navigation Systems.  Manage single and multi-room projects from pre-sales project start through project closure.  Lead implementation team and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a smooth deployment.

  • Manage single and multi-room projects in the Brainlab Digital OR portfolio that includes Buzz, Buzz Compact and Buzz Navigation, from pre-sales project start through project closure
  • Ensure project(s) are delivered as follows: (1) on schedule; (2) within budget; and (3) within scope of agreed upon requirements and specifications
  • Develop and implement effective/strategic project schedules by working with management and/or Customer
  • Support sales and guide the customer through the implementation life cycle including Initiation, Planning, Implementation, Clinical Go-Live, and Closure
  • Estimate installation requirements and coordinate resource allocation to ensure timely activity and resource efficiency will meet project requirements
  • Assess and identify risks and clearly communicate goals to project team
  • Manage project plans by tracking ongoing progress against defined milestones to facilitate successful outcomes
  • Prepare and deliver handover to the regional surgery teams responsible for servicing the customer following implementation
  • Business partner relationship management within area of responsibility, as required
  • Deliver and Maintain value-driven communication to internal & external stakeholders
  • Work primarily unassisted or with minimal supervision and instruction while performing duties
  • Attend required job related trainings, meetings, and interfaces with other departments

Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering, and 4 years’ experience of project management; Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of audio/visual electronic systems and computer networking systems
  • Experience with hardware deployment and configuration.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and agility in problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Possess a high degree of self-reliance, initiative and creativity
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, and the ability to manage many work streams simultaneously
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working with HL7 implementation projects a plus
  • Travel up to 50% domestically; ability to work nights and weekends occasionally
