Job Description

As a Project Manager in the Brainlab R&D Instruments department, you will be part of an international, multidisciplinary and highly skilled team, responsible for a wide range of instruments and accessories that are used in various clinical use cases.

Your work includes the management of different projects including class Is products and you will be responsible for ensuring that our medical devices stay ahead of the competition. Your contribution has an impact on daily work in hospitals around the world.

Your areas of responsibility include:

  • Multi-project coordination with stakeholders to coordinate the MDR transition of legacy devices
  • Management of development projects within the Instruments team (Class Is and Robotic instruments)
  • support the definition of product requirements in close cooperation with product management
  • collaborate successfully with external development partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders such as quality management and general management
  • Ensure that our medical devices fulfil all national and international statutory and normative requirements

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills including close collaboration with team members and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and motivate cross-functional project teams
  • Experience with the regulatory requirements related to MDR (FDA would be a plus)
  • Strong technical skills and ability to interact both with engineering colleagues on details as well as with general management on top-level goals
  • University degree preferably in mechanical, biomedical or medical engineering
  • Experience with class Is devices would be a plus
  • Fluent written and spoken English, German is a plus
