Job Description

At Brainlab, our R&D teams are developing innovative software solutions which are making medical technology and knowledge more impactful and accessible to physicians and their patients. As a member of our RT Planning Quality Assurance team, you work closely together with the development team to support the testing and releases of RT Planning solutions – mainly programmed in C++, C# and HTML5 on Windows.

As a QA Engineer in the RT Planning team at Brainlab, your responsibilities will be to

  • develop test strategies
  • control the testing process and supervise participants
  • assist where needed with hands on testing
  • actively participate in testing the overall system
  • define appropriate testing techniques and instruments
  • assist in developing test metrics and reporting of testing efforts
  • review and maintain automatic GUI tests
  • drive automation as a concept for lean quality delivery within the team; actively deliver ways to integrate our toolsets and automate repetitive tasks

Qualifications

  • Practical work experience in software testing
  • Sound understanding of software development (software life cycle process)
  • Experience with Performance, Load, or Security testing
  • Successfully completed technical university degree or 3+ years’ relevant work experience
  • Analytical thinking as well as a structured and systematic working approach
  • High work standards to contribute to the high product quality of our medical software
  • Strong English and German language skills to communicate in both languages verbally and in writing

In addition to this, we would especially like to hear from candidates with:

  • ISTQB Advanced Level certification in one of the following software testing roles:
    • Software Test Engineer
    • Test Manager
    • Test Automation Engineer
    • Software Development Engineer in Test
  • Some prior knowledge and experience with ISO 13485:2016 and FDA regulations
  • Scrum experience
