Job Description

At Brainlab, our R&D teams are developing innovative software solutions which are making medical technology and knowledge more impactful and accessible to physicians and their patients. As a member of our central team for Quality Assurance, you work closely together with a variety of development teams to support the testing and releases of a wide spectrum of solutions – mainly programmed in C++, C# and HTML5 on Windows. In this communicative role, you have the chance to work with several of our R&D teams and therefore learn a lot about different domains, products and technologies.

As a QA Engineer at Brainlab, your responsibilities will be:

  • Planning, performing and documenting the manual testing of programming changes and/or system enhancements
  • Developing plans and procedures for system, regression, performance and user-acceptance tests based on project specifications
  • Reporting the status of planning and testing efforts for the assigned projects on a timely basis to management and project/product managers

Qualifications

  • Practical work experience in software testing
  • Successfully completed a technical degree or is able to compensate this with 3+ years’ relevant work experience
  • Good analytical thinking skills and enjoys working in a structured and systematic working environment
  • High standards in their work and wants to contribute to the high product quality of our medical software
  • Strong English and German language skills and is confident to communicate in both languages verbally and in writing

In addition to this, we would especially like to hear from candidates with:

  • the ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level
  • Some prior knowledge and experience with ISO 13485:2016 and FDA regulations
