Job Description

For our growing R&D Radiotherapy division, we are looking for a (senior) software engineer. Working as part of an international, agile team you will maintain and develop one of Brainlab’s core products, ExacTrac Dynamic, an in-room patient positioning and monitoring system for high-precision treatments. This system works with a revolutionary new thermal-surface camera technology in tandem with X-Ray tracking. Thousands of patients around the world are positioned and monitored by the ExacTrac Dynamic system and its predecessors every day, allowing them to be treated effectively.

As a (senior) software engineer in this team, you will be

  • involved in the development of new components of future versions of our ExacTrac Dynamic software
  • specifying, coding, testing and finally supporting the first installation of the new product
  • responsible for investigating and solving critical cases from the field in cooperation with 3rd level support
  • accompanying the release process of bug-fixed versions of the current ExacTrac Dynamic software

Qualifications

  • preferably you have a degree in Computer Science or an equivalent education / working experience
  • object oriented programming is fun for you
  • practical experience with C++ and common coding design patterns
  • you consider software engineering as your core competency and want to work on all levels of software development (fullstack developer)
  • strong analytical skills for bug analysis and architectural decisions
  • you want to be part of a highly skilled team and make a difference with your code every day
  • ability to communicate in English, German is a plus
  • ability to write technical documentation and reports in English
