Job Description

The Senior Accountant primary’s responsibility is to coordinate and manage finances and accounts of the Board, superintending over Credit, Salaries and Wages, IT, Treasury, Expenditure Control and other related units.

 Responsibilities:-

1.     Receipt of all monies due to the Board and rendering proper accounts of all such monies collected;

2.     Disbursement of funds to meet the Board’s operational needs;

3.     Preparing the Board’s Financial Statements;

4.     Building a comprehensive financial and accounting data of the Board’s activities for the relevant users;

5.     Formulating Budget plans and preparation of Annual Budgets for the Board;

6.     Liaising with Banks and other financial institutions on behalf of the Board;

7.     Control of the Board’s Revenue and Expenditure estimates;

8.     Payment of Wages and Salaries to the Board’s staff.

Qualifications

The candidate for this position must be chartered and have had at least 10 years of post ICAN work experience in an accounting position with a mix of experience in any of the following:

  • Asset and Wealth management
  • Investment Advisory
  • Stockbroking
  • Pension or Banking

Experience within a fast-paced, fast-evolving, and dynamic environment is an added advantage.

Qualified candidate’s current salary will be taken into consideration.
