Job Description
Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks within the Human Resources department. The receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, flow of correspondence, and requisition of supplies. The Human Resources Representative is the first point of contact for many team members and leaders within the organization and provides a high level of customer service and care.
• Answers telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate team member. Answers general questions about human resources in order to provide quick solutions to general questions.
• Transfer callers to a team member’s voice mailbox when the associate is unavailable.
• Provide a high level of customer service in a friendly, professional, and timely manner. Process employment-related paperwork, including data input into the company’s HR systems.
• Review employment-related paperwork to ensure proper completion, obtain necessary supporting documents, and ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and Company policies.
• Maintain an accurate and complete filing system.
• Retrieve and distribute mail in a timely fashion.
• Create, print and distribute reports as prescribed and/or requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) months of experience in a similar position preferred with experience in customer service and a high traffic office environment .
• Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook) and in the operation of standard office equipment and software.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
