Job Description

We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Food Server to join our team in Shreveport, United States on a part-time basis. As a Food Server, you'll be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining efficiency and professionalism in a dynamic dining environment. This role offers the perfect opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while working collaboratively with a supportive team dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences.

  • Greet guests warmly and seat them at tables in a timely and organized manner
  • Present menus and provide knowledgeable recommendations about food and beverage offerings
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using point-of-sale (POS) systems and communicate them clearly to kitchen and bar staff
  • Deliver food and beverages to tables with attention to detail, ensuring orders are correct and presented professionally
  • Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns with empathy and efficiency
  • Process payments accurately, handle cash and card transactions, and provide appropriate change
  • Clear and reset tables promptly while maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area
  • Collaborate with team members to support overall restaurant operations and assist colleagues when needed
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards consistently to maintain a safe dining environment
  • Manage multiple tables simultaneously while maintaining composure in fast-paced situations
  • Respond to guest requests and special needs with flexibility and a customer-focused approach
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive team environment through open communication and collaborative problem-solving

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Previous food service or hospitality experience (preferred)
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds regularly
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Cash handling experience and basic math proficiency
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Strong teamwork and collaborative mindset
  • Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing situations
  • Food Handler Certification or ServSafe Certification (preferred)
  • Positive attitude, work ethic, and commitment to guest satisfaction
