Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Teller Lead for our pari-mutuel betting facility in Opelousas, United States. In this role, you will oversee daily teller operations while ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining accurate financial transactions.
- Supervise and train teller staff in daily operations and betting procedures
- Process betting transactions accurately and efficiently
- Manage cash drawers and maintain balanced accounts
- Monitor and ensure compliance with gaming regulations and company policies
- Resolve customer inquiries and handle escalated issues professionally
- Coordinate staff schedules and assignments
- Perform end-of-day reconciliation and reporting
- Maintain security protocols for cash handling and betting operations
- Assist in implementing new procedures and systems updates
- Ensure optimal customer experience during peak betting periods
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in teller or cashiering operations
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience in cash handling and reconciliation
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Proficiency in computer systems and betting terminals
- Knowledge of pari-mutuel betting operations preferred
- Understanding of gaming regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Proven track record of team leadership and staff development
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Prior experience in a similar position preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable about racing, gaming, and all applicable regulations.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to stand or sit for duration of shift.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and lift.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
