Job Description

As a Banquet Houseman you are responsible for assisting in setting up, maintaining, and cleaning up all banquet functions and events.
This is a fast paced position that will involve constant customer interaction and multi-tasking.
You must help care for and organize banquet supplies such as linens, chairs, china, glassware, flatware and decorations.
You are required to set up the banquet room per the specification of a banquet events order, and then reset the room to its original state after the event has concluded.
During the event, duties include assisting event staff, transporting tables and equipment, keeping the event area clean, help stock and replenish food and bar supplies, and making sure you stay in communication with the event managers.
Also you will help the bar staff with keeping everything stocked ( ice, glassware, liquor, beer, ect.) and you must constantly make rounds picking up dirty dishes and pre bussing the entire area

Qualifications

• Must have a flexible schedule, and be able to work weekends.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods of time. Lifting may include equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
• Ability to comprehend the English language sufficient to understand and communicate information for reasons such as safety and security; for example product safety labels and emergency instructions.

Education:
Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Experience:
Previous banquet experience preferred but not required

Grooming:
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).

Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Employees who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.


Salary upon experience 10/12 per hour
