Job Description

 

Prepare daily Restaurant Revenue Report data byauditing Micros tapes/journals to breakdown revenue, covers, waiters’ fees,tips paid out and settlements by type and cashier.

 

Run audit reports/journals from the mainframe, theMicros computer, and the system for automated credit cards.

 

Make corrections and adjustments and handle allcomputer problems that might occur throughout their shift

 

Input onto the PC revenue/expenses/allowance togenerate the daily reports such as the Guest Ledger Summary and the DailyRestaurant Summary.

 

Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly,maintain files and reset the system for next day operations

 

 

 

 

Other:

 

Regular attendance in conformance with thestandards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to thesuccessful performance of this position.

 

Employees with irregular attendance will be subjectto disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

 

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitalityindustry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect thebusiness needs of the hotel.

 

Upon employment, all employees are required to fullycomply with rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotelfacilities. Employees who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subjectto disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

 

SupportiveFunctions:

 

In addition to performance of the essentialfunctions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the followingsupportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function tobe solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirementsof the hotel.

 

Ensure all reports and back-up vouchers are completeand files properly.

 

Ensure all necessary copies of documents/back-up andreports of daily work are distributed to the proper person (i.e. A/R, A/P, andPayroll).

 

Review and correct discrepancies in the Front DeskSystem.

 

Coordinate with the front desk and restaurants/barsclosing to facilitate a smooth operation of file maintenance and reset ofsystem totals for next day operations.

 

Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Specific Jobknowledge, skill and ability

 

The individual must possess the following knowledge,skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she canperform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonableaccommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

Knowledgeof accounting operations to include all aspects such as accounts receivable,accounts payable, etc.

 

Basic mathematical skills and ability to operate a10-key by touch.

 

Ability to effectively deal with guest and employeeconcerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to thenature of concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providingpositive and proactive solutions.

 

Ability to access and accurately input informationusing a moderately complex computer.

 

Ability to read, write and speak English sufficientto understand and communicate with employees and guests. Must have excellenttelephone etiquette skills.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Qualifications

Education:

Anycombination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from highschool or any other combination of education, training or experience thatprovides the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform thefunctions of the job.

 Experience:

One-year experience in a similar size operationrequired. Hotel experience preferred.
