Job Description

We are growing in response to continued demand for our services, driving the need for a customer-focused Principal Software Engineer in a fast-paced product and project development environment. We need results-oriented customer-focused individuals who will bring a high level of success in meeting challenging project goals. The ideal candidate will desire to "jump right in" with hands-on testing and debugging experience.

Responsibilities:  

Successful candidates must have demonstrated capabilities in the following along with the desire and willingness to learn more.

  • Ability to develop solutions from the specification phase through the final delivery and acceptance testing is required
  • Ability to succeed in a challenging technical and customer-focused environment
  • Ability to approach designs from a system perspective
  • Ability to research and to quickly learn new technologies

Requisite Skills:    

  • Expert in one or more of:
    • Embedded firmware
    • Robotics (ROS2)
    • IoT – Cloud service design and architecture, protocols
  • Experience with Linux
  • Expert using Git
  • Expert in software systems architecture and design
  • Fluency in technical oversight, mentoring, and review of project work efforts from junior level engineering personnel
  • Ability to oversee and conduct critical project design reviews, identification of project risks, and development of risk mitigation strategies and approaches
  • Ability to work independently

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  • Eight to twelve years experience within a high-end product development environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Local candidates preferred
