Job Description
Make your mark as Offshore Project Engineer for Boskalis Subsea Services located offshore and onshore when required. You will be focal point for the mobilisation and demobilisations, you will also work in conjunction with the onshore Remote Operations Centre (ROC) during offshore execution phase. You have a combined role;
- Focal point for mobilisations and de-mobilisations.
- Fulfil project engineer duties.
- Provide onshore support to projects/initiatives if/as required
Your responsibilities as Offshore Project Engineer:
The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Provide leadership during mobilisations and demobilisations to ensure that the activities are delivered safely and efficiently in accordance with approved deck plans or as amended where necessary through the Management of Change process.
- Ensure deck plans, lift plans, and mobilisation plans are received and reviewed prior to Mobilisation.
- Verify that all project equipment is delivered with suitable documentation / certification and tested prior to sailing.
- The Offshore Project Engineer will perform the role of Project Engineer during the offshore phase of the project.
- Support the onshore Remote Operations Centre (ROC) and act as lead engineers offshore if ROC connectivity fails.
- Monitor performance of offshore subcontractors against project deliverables, ensuring compliance with standards and schedules.
- Oversee the delivery of engineering tasks, installation sequences, and operational procedures as instructed by the ROC, providing real-time progress, technical observations, and operational constraints as required.
- Maintain onboard control of all project documentation, drawings, procedures, and ROC updates, ensuring latest revisions are used.
Qualifications
You can make your mark as Offshore Project Engineer if you have:
- 3-4 years minimum Project/Field Engineering experience in Subsea Construction and/or IRM environments. DSV and CSV exposure desirable.
- Engineering qualification (HNC or above – Mechanical/Civil) or relevant knowledge obtained through practical experience in all aspects of the Offshore Project Engineer role
- Ability to deliver complex mobilisation and offshore operation activities.
- OPITO BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS, MIST and OEUK Medical.

- Your team: you will work closely with the Engineering, Project and Offshore teams and various departments throughout the business.
- Where you will work: you will be primarily based offshore on our DSVs and/or CSV with some time spent in the Aberdeen office as required.
- Full/part- time job: The position of Offshore Project Engineer is based on a Guaranteed Day Contract.
