Job Description

Make your mark as Operations Superintendent at Boskalis Offshore Energy. For our division Marine Services we are looking for an Operations Superintendent that will work from our Antwerp office. In this role, you support the operational, commercial, tender and financial team with different requests and tasks. With your qualities and contributions, you will boost the team’s performance aiming to achieve operational excellence. 

Your responsibilities as an Operations Superintendent are: 

  • You will provide general operational support during the initiation, planning, execution and completion phases of our projects.
  • You will give direct vessel support in relation to nautical charts & publications; you will make sure our fleet is operationally active, analyze what is required to get this done and take care of the transportation.
  • You will maintain and update company and fleet documents; you will create and maintain vessel or project specific manuals, update and maintain databases and vessel track records.
  • You will prepare, align and follow up on OVID, CMID and suitability inspections.
  • You will give general operational support to the commercial department during the tender phase; you will provide information about the vessels in our fleet and regularly perform voyage calculations to determine distance to cover together with expected speed and consumptions.
  • You will give general operational support to the financial department when required.
  • You will assist in optimizing the Safety Management System in cooperation with all involved parties.
  • You will work together with your colleagues to improve the services provided with the aim to win and execute profitable projects.

Your qualities and experience as an Operations Superintendent are: 

  • You have at least a degree with nautical or maritime background, or relevant working experience in the maritime industry.
  • Experience with Anchor handling tugs and/or Construction Support Vessels is a benefit.
  • You are a strong communicator in English and you’re assertive enough to share (and execute) your innovative ideas and involve necessary parties.
  • You’re analytical strong, and you work with strong precision.
  • You’re able to work fluently with Microsoft Office Applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel

Extra information  

  • Your team: you will be working within the operations department of Boskalis Offshore Marine Services with team members who all have a nautical back ground. You will be in close contact with the operations managers, project engineers, fleet and commercial department. 
  • Where you will work: You will work from the office in Antwerp or Papendrecht. For office-based roles, in consultation with your manager and your team, you work partly at home and partly in the office.
  • Full/part-time job: The position of function is a full-time (40 hours a week) job.
