Job Description
Make your mark as an assistant project manager at Horizon Geosciences!
As an assistant project manager, you will be responsible for the supervision and management of certain aspects of projects assigned by the project manager.
Your responsibilities as an assistant project manager
- Provide assistance to the project manager in project organization and allocation of project resources.
- Assist the project manager in conducting a project brief to the geotechnical survey team including technical and HSE specific requirements and subjects.
- Produce health and safety plans and project quality plans specific to individual projects.
- Ensure that field staff follow the emergency procedures and reports accidents / incidents.
- Ensure that the project is conducted within budget, in accordance with the procedures, to the contract specifications.
- Providing support to the offshore pm/team leader and senior field staff.
- Produce programs to ensure that projects are carried out within contractual time frames.
- Monitor the performance of the project and provide project cost and revenue information.
- Check supplier invoices and monitor field expenses.
- Create project related invoices.
- Manage rig move projects and other small scopes work.
- Track project related expenses and report internally on a monthly basis.
- Accountable for offshore personnel evaluation forms on all projects for the entire crew.
Your qualities and experience
You can make your mark as an assistant project manager if you have:
- B.Sc. or engineering level in a technical subject.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in marine survey industry.
- Minimum of one year experience in project management.
- Familiar with the services and equipment used.
- Familiar with basic accounting principles.
- Computer literate (MS Office applications, MS Projects.)

- Fulltime/ part- time job: The position of assistant project manager is a full-time job.
