Your responsibilities

In your position, next to reporting on your own assessments, you will be coordinating geotechnical questions, reviewing assessments carried out by colleagues as well as work carried out by external consultants. Furthermore:

• You will play an active role in tenders as well as projects in preparation and execution.
• To identify the risks and opportunities including necessary follow ups is something that is second nature to you.
• You like to cooperate within teams consisting of various disciplines.
• You find it a challenge to coordinate and coach less experienced team members and support them in their daily activities.

Your qualities and experience

• At least 8 years’ relevant work experience as senior geotechnical engineer.
• A bachelor’s / master’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering.
• Experience working with relevant software installation and engineering of offshore foundations.
• You have demonstrable skills in motivating, learning and coordinating others in your field of work.
• A good command of written and spoken English.
• You don’t mind to travel worldwide if the projects require.
• You are eligible to live and work in the Netherlands.

Extra information

• Your team: Your team: You’ll be working together with a multinational team of geo-specialists, all with their own talents and expertise in geology, engineering geology, geotechnics, geophysics and geomorphology. Besides that you will work together with strucural and marine engineers. Most of your work will be for the business unit Boskalis Offshore Heavy Lift.
• Where you will work: For office-based roles, in consultation with your manager and your team, you work partly at home and partly from the office in Papendrecht.
• Full/part-time job: The position of senior geotechnical engineer is a full-time (40 hours a week). However 32 hours is negotiable.
