Bosch Building Technologies is one of the largest supplier of security and safety, building automation and energy solution in the world. Our DevOps Team is responsible to build an infrastructure and service foundation that enables different building domain solutions to be integrated and deployed at a global scale. We are aiming at revolutionise the building domain by making buildings more efficient and comforting with cutting-edge cloud services.
We are working collaborative on all parts: From pure application development, infrastructure provisioning, operations up to security and more. Our team provides services, supports building domain teams and provide a cross-domain hosting environment.
We are searching for an Experienced DevOps Engineer with profound experience in cloud infrastructure provisioning, cloud computing and operating. Generalists and specialists are more than welcome.
- As part of the DevOps Team you will be responsible to build an infrastructure and service foundation that enables different building domain solutions to be integrated and deployed at a global scale.
- You are working closely together with domain experts, building domain teams as well as leading infrastructure providers.
- You help to achieve the goal of revolutionizing construction by making buildings more efficient and convenient with cutting-edge cloud services.
- You will create a software foundation to solve customer needs and work on a strategic issue with the opportunity for massive growth and the opportunity to help shape our architecture.
- In your team, you work together on all the pieces that are necessary to reliably deliver cloud services and infrastructures at scale.
- As part of the team, you provide services, help building domain teams, and provide a cross-domain hosting environment.
- You operate and support cloud services for a variety of building solutions.
- You identify needs, understand security requirements, and enhance the building experience.
- You work cross-functionally with domain teams to manage systems and services that provide reliable and scalable solutions to support smart buildings of the future.
Qualifications
- Education: completed studies in the field of computer science or a comparable qualification.
- Personality and working style: ability to communicate ideas and concepts for influence and knowledge sharing.
- Experience and know-how: several years of proven experience working in complex IT infrastructure environments. Experienced with application development (Java and Spring is a plus) as well as build systems (Gradle is a plus, Maven, etc.). Knowledge in one or more scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Typescript as well as Infrastructure as code tools (ARM is a plus, Terraform, Ansible, etc.). In addition, knowledge of usage, provisioning and monitoring of public cloud, especially Azure desired e.g. Azure ADX and ADT is a plus.
- Qualifications: competence in working with automation and CI/CD technologies e.g. Azure DevOps is a plus, Jenkins, GitHub/Lab, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Enthusiasm: fan of automation and open to learn cloud security (Network, Firewall, etc.).
- Languages: good communication skills in spoken and written English, German language skills are appeciated.
