• As a group leader you will have disciplinary responsibility for a team of around 20 SW and AI engineers, including senior tech leads of cloud-based industrial AI and software applications.
• You will support your team members in their tasks, ensuring timely, specification-compliant and high-quality delivery in line with best-practice development and operation standards.
• Furthermore, you will lead and develop your team through mentoring and coaching, as well as provide guidance to the AI and software engineering team, while actively fostering knowledge sharing and best practices within a collaborative, agile work environment.
• Clear and effective communication with stakeholders at different levels (technical and management) is a key part of your role, alongside responsibility for your team’s budget and financial planning.
• As part of our team, you will actively shape the skill sets of tomorrow and play a key role in attracting future talent in AI and software engineering.
• Last but not least, you will actively expand and strengthen your network across Bosch divisions, as well as with relevant universities, research institutions and start-ups.

• Education: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• Experience and Knowledge: 
  • several years of proven experience in leading and mentoring software engineering teams
  • strong leadership skills with a track record of fostering a positive and efficient team culture
  • solid experience with modern software development practices, including DevOps standards, agile methodologies and CI/CD tools
  • experience working in international and interdisciplinary teams
  • professional experience in the industrial or manufacturing sector is a plus
  • familiarity with the core concepts and lifecycle of machine learning/AI projects, from data acquisition and model training to deployment, sufficient to guide technical discussions and project planning, is an advantage
• Personality and Working Practice: you are a strategic and independent thinker with a collaborative mindset, strong communication skills as well as a high level of motivation and responsibility, while demonstrating confidence and professionalism when engaging with stakeholders across various management levels
• Languages: business fluent English skills written and spoken, German is a plus
