Job Description

In this role you steer the Measuring Tools business together with PT-MT/GP, with responsibility for all technical domains, expertise governance and the world wide product segment teams.

You define respective strategies, set targets, drive roadmap fullfilment and excellence in both engineering and manufacturing.

The role comprises

  • Lead and steer the Business Unit aspects including product segment- and expertise eeams (e.g. Quality, Software, IoT, Project Management, Eng and Manufacturing support team) as well as the related manufacturing operations. You take entrepreneurial decisions to achieve P&L targets (e.g., PPC, SCC, TNS, EBIT, Quality, NWC, headcount).
  • Set and deploy OKR’s for units within the BU; execute the agreed upon product roadmap, track target achievement and initiate corrective actions where needed. Support and foster close and transparent worldwide operational collaboration.
  • Identify new business fields and innovation opportunities and drive their development; foster both entrepreneurial mindset and user‑centricity.
  • Hold overall responsibility for manufacturing operations, quality, technology and strategy within the BU; drive supply‑chain performance in close collaboration with Engineering, Purchasing and Logistics.
  • Define the in‑house versus buy‑out portfolio; align targets for MT manufacturing; support and coach plant managers and manufacturing expertise owners.
  • Lead the global expertise teams, define the strategy and service portfolio for the expertise fields, and represent PT in RB committees and towards external stakeholders.
  • Govern the full development cycle from topic definition to roll‑out including trainings; develop standards, guidelines and best practices; define and track relevant KPIs and SLAs.
  • You continuously evaluate and phase in new technologies that increase BU performance reflected in organizational process efficiencies and effectiveness and/or superior customer relevant product features.

Qualifications

  • Education - University degree in a technical field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, automation engineering); a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience & Know‑how - More than 8 years experience leading a worldwide engineering or manufacturing network in an intercultural context; very good knowledge of Bosch Engineering and Production System.
  • Experience & Know‑how - Strong experience in product development processes and product lifecycle; very good knowledge of the PT Product Innovation Framework; solid engineering process know‑how.
  • Qualification - Familiarity with typical enterprise IT systems (ENG, ERP, logistics, sales) and the data flows across these systems.
  • Personality & Working style - Entrepreneurial thinking and acting; decision‑making and result orientation; ability to communicate and collaborate across BU, GB and hierarchical levels; lead by personality and enthusiasm as a role model for collaboration. You are a “Can Do” and “Get it Done” personality.
  • Languages - Excellent planning and communication skills; fluent English.
