Job Description

  • As a Research Scientist at Bosch, you will develop novel neuro-symbolic AI methods that leverage physical priors to enhance learning, reasoning, and decision-making in scientific and engineering contexts.
  • Your role will involve investigating how hybrid AI architectures can represent structured knowledge, ensure physical consistency, and support explainable predictions across a wide range of applications – from robotics manipulation and motion planning to industrial process control, as well as energy and sustainability technologies.
  • However, you will conduct cutting-edge research in the field of AI, always with the goal of creating practical solutions that can be integrated into Bosch products.
  • Furthermore, you will also design algorithms, scalable training frameworks, and evaluate methods that integrate data-driven learning, symbolic reasoning, and physics-informed modeling.
  • You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams of researchers, domain experts, and engineers in Bosch's research and business units to incorporate your contributions into future innovations and strategies for intelligent and explainable AI systems.
  • Therefore, you will also identify and develop novel applications of AI technologies that enrich Bosch's extensive product and service portfolio.
  • Additionally, you will write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that supports both research initiatives and the transfer of technologies into practical applications.
  • Through the evaluation of emerging machine learning technologies and the provision of strategic insights, you will shape and influence Bosch's technological development.
  • You will conduct experiments on our on-premises GPU cluster as well as in the cloud infrastructure to validate the performance of your solutions.
  • Last but not least, you will evaluate, develop, and present new ideas that drive innovation within the company, and make significant contributions to the generation and protection of intellectual property through high-quality publications.
