Job Description

Customer & Technical Leadership

  • Act as the primary technical interface between Bosch, Agricultural OEMs and customers
  • Support deployment of Smart Spraying solutions into the Australian agricultural market
  • Deliver system demonstrations, technical presentations and customer roadmap discussions
  • Maintain strong customer satisfaction through ongoing engagement and technical support

System Integration & Field Engineering

  • Support prototype build-up, commissioning and start-up activities
  • Oversee mechanical and electrical integration of:
    • FCU, FLU, MCU/SCU and CCU systems
    • Vehicle wiring harness integration and validation
  • Perform:
    • CAN communication testing and debugging
    • Software flashing (Ethernet, UDS, OTA)
    • Functional testing, calibration and configuration
  • Release prototypes for field trials following validation testing
  • Provide hands-on support during on-farm trials and rapidly resolve technical issues

Market Development Support

  • Identify customer and market requirements across broadacre agriculture
  • Collect and report market intelligence including competitors, regulations and farming practices
  • Opportunity scouting and demand generation activities
  • Represent Bosch at industry trade shows, field days and customer demonstrations

Training & Capability Development

  • Train end-users, technicians, dealers and commercial teams
  • Support OEM partners during industrialisation and ramp-up phases
  • Develop field monitoring and deployment concept 

Qualifications

We are looking for a conscientious professional with the ability to work across multiple business units, manage diverse topics and priorities, establish effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.

To be considered for this position you would meet the following:

Essential

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Electronics or similar
  • Experience developing, integrating or servicing ECUs or complex electronic systems
  • Passion or strong interest in Agriculture, Broadacre Farming or Agronomics
  • Experience working with large Agricultural OEM environments
  • Strong autonomous working capability within a global remote team
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Current Driver’s Licence

Technical Experience

  • Linux-based systems environments
  • CAN architecture, CAN analyser tools (e.g. CANoe)
  • Electrical measurement systems
  • GNSS / GPS integration
  • Calibration tools (e.g. ETAS INCA)
  • Basic software knowledge (Python or C)
  • Understanding of IoT connectivity concepts
  • ISOBUS machinery concepts (desirable)
  • ETAS / Vector toolchain (advantageous)

Working Environment

  • Initially working independently in Australia with global engineering teams located overseas
  • Close collaboration with international project teams
  • Flexible working hours required to support Americas time zones
  • Initial overseas training (up to 3 weeks)
