PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction began in May 2021, and first series of production commenced in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

Job Description
- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of building infrastructure, facilities, and civil engineering assets.
- Support facility inspections and identify maintenance or repair requirements.
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project requirements.
- Assist in planning and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Support space management, renovation, and facility improvement projects.
- Prepare and update maintenance records, reports, drawings, and documentation.
- Participate in facility audits, safety inspections, and compliance activities.
- Assist engineers in troubleshooting building and infrastructure-related issues.
- Support cost estimation and tracking of facility maintenance expenditures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth facility operations
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Building Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong interest in Facility Management and building maintenance operations.
- Basic knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction materials, and building systems.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, or other engineering software is an advantage.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Proactive, responsible, and willing to learn.
- Internship duration of at least 4 to 6 months is preferred.
