Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking an Automotive Systems Diagnostic and Troubleshooting Engineer to diagnose vehicle systems independently, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, and create comprehensive guided troubleshooting content for automotive applications.

Core Responsibilities

  • Diagnose electronic, mechanical, and electrical system problems in vehicles using industry-standard testers and diagnostic tools, including OBD-II scanners, multimeters, and oscilloscopes
  • Identify and interpret Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) to understand specific error codes and determine root causes
  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle testing, including individual component testing and system validation
  • Create high-quality, informative, and engaging automotive diagnostic content using various authoring tools
  • Develop guided troubleshooting procedures and instructional materials based on hands-on diagnostic experience

Technical Expertise Required

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Gasoline, Diesel, Comfort, and Safety systems, including detailed workflow and operation of sensors and actuators
  • Understand automotive electrical system wiring diagrams, wire color codes, connectors, components, and their functionalities, including symbols and DIN standards
  • Apply proficiency with tools, equipment, and procedures related to component removal and refit to create informative instructional content
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system tests, removal and refit procedures, and results for reference and organizational guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience with OE testers and OE descriptions
  • Knowledge of OBD-II standards and guided troubleshooting methodologies
  • Familiarity with Hybrid and Electric Vehicle (HV/EV) systems
  • Relevant certification in Automotive Mechatronics
  • Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Systems certification (Level 2 and Level 3)

BE/ B. Tech/ ME/ M. Tech- Automobile/Mechanical
