Job Description
The Mobility Aftermarket Buyer for Business Unit Wiper Systems is a member of the newly established Purchasing Center of Competence at the Juarez 2 plant. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliable supply of OE and OES wiper system components to North American plants. It is designed as a hybrid position, combining Commercial Purchasing and Purchasing Project Management responsibilities into one empowered buyer role. The buyer serves as the primary interface between the regional business unit and MA-WS OE Purchasing worldwide, coordinating strategic and operational purchasing topics across functions. Buyer grade and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support global Strategy Development and execute local Tactics.
- Represent Purchasing in cross-functional teams supporting customer projects - including maintenance, changes and end-of-life ramp down.
- Lead the Project Management for Purchasing-initiated projects, e.g., localization.
- Create RFQCs for new materials, RPP ideas, volume changes, customer requests, market evaluations, and related purchasing activities.
- Manage tooling budgets, including BANF creation and coordination of the approval process.
- Coordinate sample orders for internal requests, engineering change requests, and other project-related needs.
- Create RPP projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Sales, QMM, PUQ, MSE, and Logistics—on idea generation and execution.
- Serve as the Purchasing specialist for change management activities, including the ECR process, Concession process, Supplier Change Requests, RPP initiatives, and customer-driven engineering changes.
- Manage tool lifetime tracking and supplier negotiation preparation.
- Support supplier capacity planning and logistics escalations.
- Negotiate supplier prices and conditions to reach economic targets.
- Drive achievement of MAT KPIs aligned with business unit management expectations, including PUE-specific RPP targets.
- Lead Sourcing Decision proposals, represent Purchasing in make-or-buy calculations and related business case evaluations.
- Maintain SAP master data, new supplier setups and plant extensions.
- Independently perform bottom-up financial planning for suppliers / part prices / capital expenditures; then, track and report out cost development vs. budget.
- Cascade Bosch initiatives and identify alternative strategies as needed to ensure a successful supply chain alignment.
- Ensure compliance and risk management.
- Apply problem solving and escalation tools to achieve targets / improve processes.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field required
- Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
- Minimum 2 years experience working in automotive industry OE procurement
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and processing orders
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
