Job Description
This position is responsible for the system level design of the ACS (Air-Conditioning Service) products. This will include the high level design documentation for electro-mechanical systems and components, including interactions between the software, hardware, and mechanical components, such as motors, sensors, switches, and controls. The candidate will work closely with a cross functional team to deliver products on-time, on-spec, and on-budget. To be successful, the candidate must be innovative, creative, detail oriented, comfortable working from a vision, and comfortable working in a fast-pace environment while handling multiple projects simultaneously
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
- Conceptualize and document system level architecture design of the AC service products.
- Create system level design documentation.
- Coordinate testing and documentation required to achieve and maintain product certifications (UL, CE, etc.)
- Create test plans and reports to validate design concepts.
- Troubleshoot problems to assist with manufacturing or reduce warranty costs.
- Team leadership - lead the project team to be creative, accurate, detailed, and professional.
- Perform design analysis and FMEA‘s on system designs to assure form, fit, function, and safety.
- Maintain project documentation, i.e. design reviews, FMEAs, design specifications, wiring diagrams, test plans, etc.
- Represent the Design Engineering Team with professionalism and integrity when communicating with the Customer, Cross Functional Teams and the entire organization.
- Takes full responsibility for providing the customer (internal and external) with service and products (documentation, prototypes, etc.) that exceed customer’s expectations.
Qualifications
- Four year Engineering degree, BSEE preferred
- 3+ years related experience preferred.
- Proven design skills, utilizing knowledge of similar product.
- Proficiency in PC skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, etc), CAD experience (Solidworks) preferred, Labview preferred.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment. Experience working with global/international teams also highly desirable.
- Previous experience with product certifications (UL) preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills with solid documentation skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects keeping accurate documentation and records
- Ability to work well with challenging individuals and customers

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $99,900 - $116,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
