Bosch Automotive Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. (RBAI) is a 100% subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH . Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work close together with product development team, international production plants and other cross functional teams for optimum design of new product for manufacturing and testability for Medium to Large sized projects (M+W) category
  • Preparing technical data premises for Medium to Large sized projects (M+W) variant product based on different manufacturing concepts / processes for the cost calculation 
  • Understand the result of cost calculation and work on alternatives to reduce the product cost
  • Together with CFT perform Cycle time calculation, analysis of bottle neck chart and define the design solution to reduce cycle time
  • Estimate the manufacturing line loading, perform the line balancing and plan the line concept accordingly
  • Define Manufacturing concept together with CFT
  • Co-ordinating for PCB layout design relevant for Robert Bosch manufacturability
  • Participate in the Quality Gate of the Product
  • Co-ordination with sample shop for the trails, initial tooling concept and timely delivery of samples
  • Organize Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) workshop for new product development with Medium to Large sized projects (M+W) variant
  • Drive for implementation of Robert Bosch- Product Guidelines - PGL (ex: Lean concepts, Scaling, VSD)
  • Preparation of Manufacturing and Design guideline document and approval from CFT
  • Co-ordination to release standard specification needed for series production
  • Prepare detail technical premises for NPV calculation to compare different concepts
  • Technical coaching and mentoring new trainees

Qualifications

BE/B.Tech – in Mechanical Engineering / Electronics Engineering with 6-10 Years relevant experience new product development /introduction from Electronics Manufacturing Industry.

Preferable from Automotive Electronics Industry

Additional Information

  • Good understanding on electronic product manufacturing ( in SMT and Final assembly area) in automotive sector    
  • Good knowledge in Manufacturing assembly line concepts like automatic, manual
  • Good knowledge on Manufacturing processes like Soldering Milling, Dispensing, Screwing, assembly and inspection systems
  • Experience in implementation lean line concepts
  • Knowledge on Product cost calculations and cost analyzation based on influencing factors
  • Knowledge on PCB layout requirements for ECU manufacturability
  • Knowledge on GD&T and Tolerance calculation
  • Knowledge on Quality tools, capability studies (Cp,Cpk)
  • Proactively incorporates user/ customer feedback to improve deliverables. Takes accountability and ownership for the decisions of self and others and any outcome thereof
  • Displays willingness to experiment with new ideas. Balances conflicting demands of complex, high-pressure situations with courage and foresight
  • Convincingly presents own ideas and concepts to different target audiences.
