Job Description

The Operations Support position aids daily warehouse operations while serving as a key safety and training resource for the team. This role promotes safe work practices, delivers operational and safety training, and provides experienced backup support to ensure continuity, compliance, and operational stability.

Safety, Quality, Cost, & Delivery Metrics for Shipping and Receiving

Operations:

  • Perform and support daily warehouse operations in accordance with standard work, safety rules, and quality requirements.
  • Order, Make, Deliver Functions required for maintaining warehouse operations.
  • Ensures continuity of operations by covering the coordinator role, managing daily activities, and stepping in seamlessly during absences or peak demands.
  • Material handler standard duties: Pick, Put-Away, Receive, Ship, etc.

Training:

  • Deliver onboarding, refresher, and process specific training for warehouse employees, including safety and equipment usage.
  • Track, document, and plan annual training for all PIT operators.
  • Support standardization of work instructions, safety procedures, and training materials.

Safety:

  • Function as a shopfloor safety ambassador by reinforcing safe behaviors, supporting audits (Weekly Safety Audits & Tachinbo Walks), and addressing observed risks.
  • Provide Weekly reporting on safety incidents and departmental costs related to safety.

Qualifications

  • Forklift Operations (Senior)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Projects, Word, Outlook, Forms, PowerPoint, Power Automate, etc.) (Beginner)
  • Communication Skills (Ability to collaborate with multiple levels of leadership effectively) (Beginner)
  • Experience with SAP-ERP systems (Beginner)
  • Operations Training (Intermediate)
  • Ability to lift (up to) 40 lbs.
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school required.
  • Ability to stand and be mobile for 8 hours
  • Ability to read and follow instructions
