Job Description

Responsible for leading health & safety management and electrical safety governance across BHC APAC sites. The role serves as the APAC Electrical Safety (OE-ES) and drives the implementation of regional health & safety programs, compliance requirements, risk management initiatives, and performance improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System across APAC, ensuring alignment with corporate requirements and regulatory expectations.
  2. Develop, coordinate, and promote regional safety programs for critical risk areas, including Machine Safety, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Contractor Safety Management, High-Risk Work, Fire Safety, Confined Space Entry, and Explosion Protection.
  3. Act as the APAC Operational Electrical Safety Expert (OE-ES), providing technical guidance and governance for electrical safety management across the region.
  4. Maintain the APAC electrical safety network, support site management in the nomination and development of Local Electrical Safety Experts (LO-ES), and facilitate regional technical exchanges and best-practice sharing.
  5. Conduct safety audits, assessments, and management system reviews, providing technical support to sites and ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions.
  6. Support the investigation of safety incidents and near misses, including root cause analysis, corrective action follow-up, and the sharing of lessons learned across APAC locations.
  7. Deliver safety training, awareness initiatives, and technical guidance to strengthen safety competency, compliance, and safety culture throughout the region.
  8. Monitor and analyze regional safety performance, prepare KPI reports and management updates, and coordinate regional safety initiatives, audits, meetings, and emergency preparedness activities to support APAC safety objectives.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (Certified Engineer, Bachelor’s Degree, or Master’s Degree), or qualification as a State-Certified Technician in Electrical Engineering or Foreman Electrician, meeting the qualification requirements for the OE-ES function.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical safety, occupational health & safety, EHS management, facilities management, preferably within a multi-site or regional environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety management, ISO 45001, machine safety, LOTO, contractor safety management, high-risk work control, fire safety, confined space safety, and explosion protection.
  • Experience in auditing, risk assessment, incident investigation, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide technical guidance, coaching, and training across APAC locations.
