Job Description
As a Commercial Buyer, you will play a key role in shaping Bosch's supplier landscape and ensuring a resilient and competitive supply chain. By combining strategic procurement expertise, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration, you will contribute directly to business success and operational excellence.
Your contribution to something big:
- Analyze assigned product categories and identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, standardization, and cost optimization.
- Develop and implement category strategies that support long-term business objectives and supply chain resilience.
- Lead sourcing activities for new projects, securing supplier capacities and ensuring readiness for future business demands.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers while evaluating performance, capabilities, and development opportunities.
- Proactively manage supply risks and material shortages by driving mitigation measures and coordinating cross-functional response plans.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across purchasing, engineering, logistics, and manufacturing to ensure supply continuity and operational efficiency.
- Influence decision-making through data-driven insights, market analysis, and effective stakeholder communication.
Qualifications
What distinguishes you:
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience working with suppliers in an international business environment.
Know-how
- Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and category strategy development.
- Understanding of supply chain optimization and risk management principles.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Experience with cost optimization and supplier development activities is an advantage.
Languages
- Fluent English skills, both written and spoken.
- German language skills are considered a plus.
