Professional Excellence Manager (PEM) is a disciplinary manager, acting as a servant leader for personal matters and personal- and competence development of the associates organised in a local team. Based on the input/project requirements of BUTA of the product areas, the PEM is responsible to ensure the right person and the right teams in the right position.
Responsibilities (tasks)
Disciplinary Manager (RBGF 101) (incl. all Compliance-relevant topics)
Target Manager (RBGF 101) (except setting business targets)
People management
Execution of all relevant HR processes, e.g.Dialogs, TAR, ASR, Talent Management.
Compliance-relevant topics (e.g.compliance dialog, compliance trainings, compliance cases – see RBGF 101 as well as RB GF 178)
Fulfillment of all relevant topics of the labor law, e.g. disciplinary measures, create awareness and follow-up on working-time-regulations/violations, parental leave, risk assessment, holidays, overtime, short-time work, re-integration of unplanned absences.
Organizational people processes, e.g.driving permissions, travel approvals, approvals for Software and Hardware, access right management
Associate motivation and satisfaction
Capture associate satisfaction
Initiating and promoting motivational factors as well as reducing demotivational factors
Retention
Competence management
Execution of Individual Competence Development for assigned associates (CptM-Curricula, individual development measures) in cooperation with other involved roles (e.g., agile master, product owner) and exchange with operational structure to get a holistic view of each associate.
Support implementation of Strategic Competence Management process: Contribution to derivation of strategic company CptMRoadmap and definition and implementation of competence roadmap in cooperation with Operations manager
Able to coach and drive quality initiatives in a specific subject area/ competence
In case required ensure business continuity even with proactive involvement
Staffing
Support of whole staffing process from business side (initiate WorkOn´s, alignment of job postings within Hiring Team, pre-screening of candidates, participation in interviews
Planning, execution, and alignment of On-/Offboarding process from business side for associates (define and follow-up of on/offboarding plan, initiate process for enabling, definition of measures, take care of needed accounts, accesses, technical equipment)
Resource Management in line with PA Business managers
Associate development
Personal and functional associate development (personal contact and person of trust, duty of care, talent development)
Performance Management (assess, manage, and discuss the performance of associate with associate and relevant stakeholders)
Coaching, Mentoring and Mediation
Change management
Support or coordinate change management initiatives
Prepare associates for the change and provide support
Culture Development
Role-modeling
Support or coordinate culture initiatives in the area and across the BU
Controlling
Raise awareness about respective budget situation in area of responsibility
Span of control: 30+/-5 (Leading experts & functional teams in disciplinary and PETA responsibility)
Main Interfaces:
Operations manager and product manager of the assigned Business areas of the employees
Agile roles (e.g.: agile master) of the employee scrum team

Subject Matter expertise: Deep knowledge and expertise in n the relevant technical field. Continuous learning to stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques relevant to their field.
