Company Description

Bosch first started its operations in Vietnam in 1994 and registered a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2008. According to the business strategy of Bosch in Vietnam, from 1st July 2014 on all business entities were merged into Bosch Vietnam Co. Ltd. with its head office at Ho Chi Minh City plant (HcP) in Dong Nai Province.

HcP has started its belt assembly in a rented building on 1st August 2008 as the assembly plant of Tilburg Plant (TbP). On 14th April 2011, HcP celebrated the inauguration of the new plant (Lth101 with 17,000 sqm), which did not only allow to increase the production depth, but also to facilitate the push belt assembly of this high-tech product. On 3rd July 2012 HcP marked a big milestone by starting to produce the second component (loop-set) for its push belt. Since November 2012, HcP doubled the production floor space and increase the net total floor space up to 56.000 m², and have successfully increased its production capacity and realized a lot of new line SOP’s.

Job Description

Emergency Response Management
The role is responsible for managing the site emergency preparedness and response program, including emergency response plans, procedures, scenarios, and drill schedules. This includes leading and developing the Emergency Response Team to ensure competency, readiness, and effective response to emergency situations. The position also ensures that emergency equipment, facilities, communication tools, and response resources are properly maintained, inspected, and ready for use, while coordinating emergency drills, evaluating drill effectiveness, and following up on improvement actions

Machine Safety, Electrical Safety and High-Risk Equipment Control
The role is responsible for managing machine safety programs, including safety reviews, risk assessments, design reviews, machine release, and operational safety verification. This includes ensuring compliance with Bosch and Vietnamese requirements related to machine safety, electrical safety, LOTO, strict MAE, radiation safety, and high-risk equipment. The position also participates in new machine installation, modification, and release processes to ensure HSE risks are identified and controlled before operation, while coordinating with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and Facility teams to implement corrective actions and improve machine safety performance.

HSE Support for Projects, New Products and Site Changes
The role supports new product introduction, plant expansion, re-layout, and technical projects to ensure compliance with Vietnamese legal requirements and Bosch HSE standards. This includes reviewing project-related HSE risks, providing technical advice, and ensuring that required safety controls are integrated from design to implementation. The position also supports project teams in contractor safety, change management, permit requirements, risk assessments, and HSE documentation, while following up on project-related HSE actions to ensure safe handover and readiness for operation.
      
Working Environment Monitoring and Improvement
The role is responsible for managing working environment monitoring activities to ensure compliance with Vietnamese legal requirements and Bosch standards. This includes analyzing monitoring results and coordinating improvement programs related to noise, heat, lighting, ventilation, chemicals, ergonomics, and other workplace factors. The position also works with relevant departments to define corrective actions, improve working conditions, and prevent occupational health risks, while maintaining monitoring records, reports, and evidence for legal compliance and internal review.

Off-site Safety, Event Safety and Transportation Safety
The role is responsible for developing and implementing safety programs to protect employees during off-site activities, business travel, company events, and transportation. This includes coordinating risk assessments and safety controls for external events, shuttle bus operations, and employee transportation arrangements. The position also works with internal stakeholders and service providers to improve transportation safety, emergency readiness, and incident prevention, while following up on incidents, observations, and improvement actions related to off-site and transportation safety.

Safety Culture and Continuous Improvement Programs
The role is responsible for coordinating safety improvement programs such as 5S, Learn to See, Gemba Walk, Suggestion Scheme, and other safety culture activities. This includes promoting proactive hazard identification, employee participation, and practical problem-solving across the site. The position also tracks improvement actions, monitors effectiveness, reports progress to HSE management, and supports cross-functional teams in strengthening safety awareness, operational discipline, and a continuous improvement mindset.
 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Knowledge of Vietnamese HSE legal requirements and Bosch corporate HSE standards is an advantage.

Work experience:

  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in HSE, preferably in a manufacturing or multinational company environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience in emergency response management, ERT coordination, fire safety, emergency drills, and emergency equipment readiness.
  • Experience in machine safety, electrical safety, LOTO, high-risk equipment control, MAE safety review, and machine release process.

Traits and Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of HSE risk management, emergency response, machine safety, electrical safety, LOTO, and workplace safety controls.
  • Good ability to assess technical risks, review safety concepts, identify gaps, and propose practical control measures. 
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Facility, R&D, contractors, and external service providers. 
  • Proactive, disciplined, and hands-on, with strong ownership in driving safety improvement and incident prevention. 
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken, for reporting, documentation, audits, and communication with internal and regional stakeholders.
