PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction began in May 2021, and first series of production commenced in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

Job Description

Drive our global IT cost strategy. Own our financial IT cost transparency and cost reduction program. Support the new cost responsibility of ME/MFD-SO.

Lead our global software accounting. Independently manage licensing, accounting, and cost allocation to optimize our entire IT portfolio and drive business value.

Serve as contact for vendors in the matter of external billing process and for new offers.

Strategically map our worldwide IT application landscape and drive transparency with global internal partners.

Present IT cost and application landscape internally to executives.

Financial & Cost Management

  • Actively and globally drive the topics of IT cost transparency and IT cost reduction.
  • Execute global IT application accounting, recharging, and license management processes for centrally managed software.
  • Coordinate the external billing process and help to negotiate new contracts in a team with the purchasing department, stakeholders, and vendors.

IT Portfolio & Stakeholder Management

  • Achieve transparency of the IT application landscape for manufacturing IT in collaboration with worldwide contacts in the plants and the central organization.
  • Present IT cost and application landscape internally to executives.

International Work Environment

  • Work in an international and inter-cultural set-up for the semiconductor organization of Robert Bosch GmbH.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM category with certified knowledge of economics or an equivalent degree in business administration and engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience

Social Competence

  • Strong skills in business communication, communication to executives and inter-cultural communication.
  • Documented expertise in negotiation with vendors.
  • Independent, structured, and goal-oriented way of working with high ownership and accountability.
  • Collaborative work-style, assertive through persuasion.
  • High motivation to work for a global company in a highly international and cross-functional environment

Professional competence

  • Several years’ experience in controlling, accounting, and purchasing processes.
  • Previous SAP experience.
  • Advanced Excel experience.
  • Master data to drive the global cost strategy. We need strong hands-on expertise in methods and (IT) tools beyond MS-Office to transform complex data into powerful business insights and presentations for a worldwide audience – e. g. Python, SQL, and modern KI driven tools.
  • A fundamental technical understanding of how semiconductor production plants run.
  • A fundamental technical understanding of manufacturing IT systems especially in the semiconductor business.
  • Demonstrated project management capability
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) and fundamental German as an option.
