Job Description
The primary objective of this position is to acquire new customer projects and manage projects by ensuring timely realization of SOP by adherence to standard project management process there by act as enabler to secure new projects leading to business enhancement w/ customer.
1. Liaison with Customer in Pre-Selling, Quotation, Negotiation, Project Contracting and Development phases.
2. Manage the system project acquisition and execution activities as per standard acquisition and project management process & ensure smooth handover to logistics team for managing series supplies - Systematic updating of project status via Open Point List and Project Status presentation at team/ management level (A, B Panel) review meetings
3. Review and escalate project / customer specific topics to leadership team to seek appropriate interventions
4. Plan R&D cost (Development efforts) and Special Earnings for projects/sub projects and for target business plans (TBP)/ Current Forecast (CF) and ensure budget utilization within targets by periodic monitoring
5. Monitor the product cost, price, volume, project budget
6. Price Management: Reconciliation topics like FOREX, PCR, RMI, ECI etc
7. Consolidate, report and manage OEM data - Volume Planning Prognostics & Long Term Forecast
8. Prepare required documents for related internal strategy meetings
9. Contribute towards customer field issues and internal QMM audits
10. Engineering Change Management
11. Product Lifecycle management including end of Supplies and End of Production agreements.
12. Mentoring entry level project managers, Cross functional team management for the associated project
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial Production, Electrical, Electronics or equivalent)
- MBA desirable
Relevant Experience
- 08 to 12 years of experience within Automotive Industry with cross-functional exposure in Sales and/or System Project Management. (MUST)
- 03 to 05 Years of Experience working with tier1 in Customer facing Role.
- Experience of Working with Indian Auto OEMs is preferred.

- Proficient Project planning, risk management skills & self-driven to perform under challenging budgets with quality and time focus
- Competent Customer relationship management
- Proficient in SAP, MS office tools, PPAP and APQP process
- Advanced Knowledge of Diesel/ alternative Powertrain technologies, Engine Management System, Product development life cycle, Overview of Bosch product portfolio and new developments
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be an added advantage
