Job Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Product Engineer ensures the implementation of the quality strategy in pre-series and series phases, acting as a technical link between development and manufacturing. The role is responsible for ensuring requirement compliance, performing risk analysis, validating product quality, and improving process performance. Additionally, it actively participates in new product introduction under APQP guidelines, supports product release, and develops technical capabilities through training focused on functionality and failure mode analysis.
Main responsibilities:
- Electronics background
- Deploy and support development of quality strategy.
- Enable conformance of quality requirements to Series and Pre-series productions
- Technical contact with Development department to fulfill test requirements in manufacturing according to Bosch directives and procedures.
- Responsible of risk analysis/assessment evaluation to assure and maintain product quality.
- Key enabler for better product/process performance.
- Validate the product quality in accordance to component tolerances involving Development and PQA.
- Responsible to support Value Stream in regards of product technical issues and product releasing in high collaboration with Design departments.
- New product introduction, actively participation with MFE (manufacturing engineering) in projects planning and new releases.

- DRBFM knowledge basics
- GD&T and Drawing interpretations.
- Tolerances stack up analysis.
- Reliability/statistics for intermediate analysis computation
- Problem Solving techniques.
- SAP knowledge
- Risk Assessment Methodologies
- CAD/CAE basic knowledge
- Substantial product and manufacturing process knowledge, APQP, PPAP, XFMEA, MSA, SPC, ISO TS 16949
- Problem Solving Methods (8D, Fishbone, 5Why, 6Sigma/Shainin, ...) and high level of intellectual curiosity and open-mindedness to access and solve problems
- Ability to build relationships across different regions (intercultural abilities).
- Ability to use inductive and deductive reasoning/methods.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor Degree
Language (written and oral):
- German: Preferred
- English: Advanced
Education:
- BS Degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Electromechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Working Experience:
- Preferable 2-3 years in similar roles
- Soft Skills: creative, proactive, analytic, leadership and good negotiation skills, teamwork and good communication skills.
- Ability to work with simultaneous projects and tasks, and to manage deductive reasoning as his main way of thinking.
